About Our Department of Dermatology:
today, over 500 kinds of skin diseases are known in the area of dermatology. Relatively common diseases include eczema, contact dermatitis, urticaria (hives), tinea (fungal infection of the skin including athlete’s foot), foot corns, and pimples (acne vulgaris). There are also relatively complex diseases including bullous diseases, keratotic diseases, and tumors benign and/or malignant that need to be diagnosed and treated cautiously plus carefully according to the symptoms and severity. For precise diagnosis, blood tests, image tests, and pathological examinations by skin biopsy are available and would be performed in cases that require more than clinical observation. In addition to subscribing medicine to take home (oral and/or topical), we also perform clinical treatments and minor skin surgeries for patients in such need. We are also available for laser therapies such as carbon dioxide laser surgeries for senile warts (seborrheic keratosis) and viral warts (verruca vulgaris), and also dye laser (Q-switch alexandrite laser) treatments for senile pigmentations, although laser therapies are not covered by health insurance (would be self-paid). Please feel at ease to consult us even about the seemingly slightest problems that would trouble your skin, such as dryness and itchiness, and we will always be very happy to be at your service.
